Philippians 3:13b-14, NIV, “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Dear Father God, we come to you today with a grateful heart for showering us so much blessing and beautifully drowning us in your love. Unveil before us Oh Lord your will so that we may live a life not full of earthly desires and possessions, but instead full of you and you alone. Help us to truly realize that what we have right now are all temporary and that you alone and your Kingdom is eternal. Money, fame, jewelry, house, the people surrounding me and even me myself — all of these will perish. Help us see your genuine gifts and that we may only care about what you have given to us. Help us to resist temptation and any works of evil. Protect us in your might from anything against your power. We lift up everything to you Lord, in Spirit and in truth through your son Jesus Christ who forever reigns. Amen.

John 1:32, 34, NIV, “Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him…I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.” Dear God, thank you for granting us the privilege to commune with your Holy Spirit. For this, we are able to live a life meant for you and you alone. For this as well, we are able to redeem ourselves through your son Jesus Christ. Guide us to a righteous way of glorifying your name. Direct our actions and govern our thoughts to only act according to your commandments and think not of evil but of good and kindness all the time. Teach us Oh Lord the ways to strengthen our bond with you so that in the end, we may be worthy of receiving your divine promises. May you bless us with your holiness and goodness, so that we may serve as lights for our brothers and sisters who lost their hopes and dreams. May your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Amen. Calvary Road Baptist Church – Purcellville B...

Deuteronomy 6:4–6, RSV, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart.” Almighty Father, Oh how great of you to have made us known of your Holy Name. Thank you for your loving and caring hands that serve as our comfort every moment we feel like the world is upon our shoulders. Thank you for you loved us first and because of that love we are also able to share your kindness to our brothers and sisters. Thank you so much Oh Lord for your unwavering guidance and unflickering lights which lead us towards a life bounded by your righteous will. Help us Oh Lord to grow more in your love. We want to love and worship you with our whole heart. Take away our doubts and hesitations, help us to solidify the very foundation of our trust in you. With our yearning hearts, we pray that you work within each one of us that ...

Isaiah 49:8, NIV, “This is what the Lord says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances.” Dear God, you have sent Jesus Christ to save us from our sins; who suffered and died for us. We may truly see through His pain and fully turn against the devil. Thank you Lord for sending down your beloved son to cleanse us through his blood. We may come to live a life where all the things we do and the words we speak is to glorify your name. Strengthen us to always identify and follow a good path, then ignore and resist the bad path. Give us courage and strong will as well to carry our own cross as we take a rocky, difficult and dark road — let us see you. Thereafter, we will walk with Jesus and together we will proclaim your greatness to the whole of the earth. We will all come to you renewed, born again through yo...
