How To Guide Your Children To Baptist Church

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” - Mark 10:13-14

One of the greatest things about being a parent is for them to share their knowledge about Jesus Christ and the Baptist Church. The Bible says that no one becomes a Christian unless that person will be called towards God through the Holy Spirit. There is no particular time frame when this “calling” will particularly happen. Nevertheless, you need to be ready as a parent and member of the Baptist Church.

Below is a guide that will offer you tips when your child expresses interest on going to Baptist church.

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” - Matthew 7:24-27

As a parent you need to a proper groundwork

Talk about what you believe! Your son or daughter will be raised in his understanding of the Annandale Baptist Church having a good foundation. Let them indulge in stories from the Good Book and deeply learn and understand about the Scriptures. Having your children learn the Bible and about God must come from you as parents. You may think that  the Baptist Church is the sole help for this but don’t neglect your duty and responsibility to teach your children about God. The church is a great source for this as well but it must start first with us as parents. Lead by example. Sing about Jesus and let them feel a love and learning that is done right. Even very small children can experience the beautiful and sacred feeling given by God.This is, of course, easier said than done. However, we always have to be aware that we are teaching kids all of the time. Be a good example. If you are constantly sitting in front of the TV, we are teaching them something!

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. - 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Protect your kids from negative influence

Educate yourself about the risks by providing love, limits, and time. Encourage your children to have Godly influences in their lives. Encourage your children to not only see and hear God through your life but also through others that know and love the Lord. Having relatives like aunts, uncles, grandparents and including those belonging to the Annandale Baptist Church community can have a major influence in their lives.

Lastly,If you sense your child has a basic understanding of what sin is as well as what it means to accept God’s gift of salvation, then you can chaperon them to pray along those lines. Young children are usually bonded to their parents in such a way that they want to please and do not have a full sense of doing things by themselves. A child needs to understand that this is a personal decision and not just an opportunity to repeat rote answers. Instead of quoting specific words for your child to repeat, it’s best to prompt using his or her own words.

Philippians 3:20-21, NIV, “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Dear God, keep us close to you. How to Be a Disciple in Today’s Manassas Baptist Church

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”Matthew 28:18-20 Today, we have a challenging question. Are you a true disciple of Jesus Christ or just a Christian? The Bible has passages that are the blueprint to those who claim that they are. By understanding what these writings mean, you will know what the Lord expects from you. But what makes a good disciple? Jesus knew what was in men's hearts. Today, a good disciple will take the initiative to listen to those around him or her. He or she will learn their names. He or she will take a keen interest in their everyday actions. A good disciple means to be a shepherd over the Lord's flock because discipleship goes beyond belief. It's the commitment to act, to speak, and to reach out to bring those lost back to the fold.
