Matthew 11:28, RSV, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and l will give you rest.”

Our Father, we come to you today. May your Holy presence bring inner peace to each one of us. As we lay everything in your hands, may we fully see your great love, hear your calming voice as you speak to our hearts. Help us Oh Lord to realize your will in the midst of worry, anxiety, fear, pain and anger. Cleanse us against evil acts, words and emotions. As one great forgiving God, we may also practice a forgiving and loving heart to those who have wronged us; and humility to ask forgiveness to those we have wronged. As the King of peace, we may carry with us a heart full of compassion, charity and composure, so that wars among nations, among brothers and sisters might be put to end and ceased. We sincerely ask this through your Holy Spirit, the mediator; through Jesus Christ, your beloved son our savior; and you Dear God our creator. Amen.

Isaiah 49:8, NIV, “This is what the Lord says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances.” Dear God, you have sent Jesus Christ to save us from our sins; who suffered and died for us.
