Psalm 118:14-16, NIV, “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”

Dear God, you are my greatest defender. Thank you for the gift of faith which gives us strength and courage to remain firm and never be shaken by any obstacle or any works of evil. Our Father, we look up to you. We pray for your help to come always when we seem to give up and when we are broken. Let us see your mighty hands touching our lives that we may become your messenger of love and strength to all your children. Have mercy upon your people who sometimes blinded by their desires. Send us your Holy Spirit to guide us to a road worthy of your recognition. From there, we will praise and glorify you through your son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Direct our actions and govern our thoughts to only act according to your commandments and think not of evil but of good and kindness all the time.
