1 Peter 4:12-13, NIV, “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.”

Dear God, we thank you for sending us your message of assurance that you always got our back. We may face obstacles, unbearable pain and deep wounds; but through your love and power, we can overcome any of it and use it to strengthen our faith instead. Bless us Oh Lord to always seek your word and presence that we may grasp and have a true understanding of your divine will and works. Steer us to a more meaningful journey — a journey full of you, a journey leading towards you. Let not our sufferings blind us from your true intentions. Protect us from evil and help us conquer them. With your promise of eternal life, we will forever worship and glorify Your Name. Amen.
