MONDAY, APRIL 9, 2018

John 14:18-21, NIV, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”

Dear God, we come to you as your children made holy through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Thank you for sending down and giving your Son into the world to save us all. May we see only Him and may we see Him as well in each other. Because as long as you live within each one of us, we will not perish but shall live forever. Let us see you Lord as you reveal yourself through your words. Grant us your heavenly wisdom to speak, act and think according to your will. So that we may, together with you Lord Jesus come to your father — our Father Almighty. Amen.

Philippians 3:20-21, NIV, “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Dear God, keep us close to you. Govern our minds and hearts so whatever we may do be done in the glory and in honor of our savior Jesus Christ. One who forever reigns the heaven and earth. We will wait for His coming for we believe that we will be renewed and cleansed deserving a citizenship in heaven. For this, help us Oh Lord to find enlightenment in your words and that we may be able to put them into action. Grant us a kind, forgiving, honest, patient and loving heart so that we may proclaim your goodness sincerely and truthfully to everyone. How beautiful it is to live in accordance with your will and laws where we can find true peace and justice. Thank you Lord God for sending down your beloved son Jesus Christ to save us all. How to Be a Disciple in Today’s Manassas Baptist Church
