MONDAY, MARCH 26, 2018

2 Peter 3:9, NEB, “It is not that the Lord is slow in fulfilling his promise, as some suppose, but that he is very patient with you, because it is not his will for any to be lost, but for all to come to repentance.”

Dear God, we thank you for your mercy. Thank you for your beautiful living promise. May we be patient enough to stay in faith and live in your presence until you come again and fulfill your covenant. Thank you for your patience Oh God. Despite our shortcomings in showing gratitude and giving praise to your name, you still have shown us immeasurable grace and love. We believe in your word to prosper us and not to harm us at all. As we walk with your words as our weapon, may we never be discouraged, but instead become even stronger and bolder warriors of your love. And as we conquer the whole world proclaiming your greatness to every nation as our king and our God, we may come most worthy of claiming our rights as your children. Let your kingdom come and your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Everything here on earth is temporary — money is, fame is, jewelry is, even us humans. It is only you Lord God who is eternal — your Kingdom, your will, your love. How beautiful it is to live in accordance with your will and laws where we can find true peace and justice. Thank you Lord God for sending down your beloved son Jesus Christ to save us all. May you grant us that grace so that we may be worthy as your sons and daughters. Oh, how great it is to be carried by you in your arms as we rest our burdens on your shoulders. How great it is to sit on your lap as you listen to every word our hearts say. Being recognized as your child alone is the greatest honor every creation of yours can have.
