1 John 2:1–2, NIV, “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense – Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”

Dear God, thank you for you gave us salvation through our defender Jesus Christ. Please forgive us for we have sinned and disobeyed your commandments. Please strengthen us in time when we are much vulnerable to temptations and the works of evil. Empower your spirit within each of us to enlighten our thoughts and direct our actions to be more pleasing before your eyes. Help us, your poor children who want to seek peace and love in you, to walk a path of pure goodness. That we may genuinely serve you. We come before you today, begging for your mercy, asking for your protection. We pray this in your holy name, glorifying you always and forever. Amen.

Ways That Serving the Baptist Church Can Change You

And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” Dear God, Almighty Father, thank you for touching our hearts of your fatherly love. May you grant us that grace so that we may be worthy as your sons and daughters. Oh, how great it is to be carried by you in your arms as we rest our burdens on your shoulders. How great it is to sit on your lap as you listen to every word our hearts say. Being recognized as your child alone is the greatest honor every creation of yours can have. It also brings immeasurable joy in our hearts. Guide us always Lord to follow the flock you’re leading. Romans 8:26, NIV, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Dear God, let your Holy Spirit descend upon us all and over the whole world. To guide and enlighten our paths as we walk this earth toward your Kingdom in heaven. To uncover the greatness of your power before our mortal eyes. You are our King and our God. Let your holy infiniteness reign in every heart of your people since your ways and thoughts are higher than ours. Our King and our God, send your Holy Spirit so that we may see our own weakness and help us put them into prayers. We lift our hands and yearning hearts to you, Father, we ask for your blessing through your Holy Spirit and your son Jesus Christ. Amen.
